ALPS 2025 presents a Sound Meditation led by two remarkable practitioners at the intersection of science, therapy, and art: Dr. Miriam Lee Burger and Vincent Liaudat. This session offers a profound sonic experience, masterfully combining ancient meditative traditions with modern neuroscience.
Dr. Miriam Lee Burger is a multi-instrumental sound therapist, cross-genre violinist, and a Harvard-trained physician and integrative psychiatrist. Her research focuses on music production for non-ordinary states of consciousness, with collaborators including the European Space Agency and EPFL. Vincent Liaudat is a multi-instrumental pianist, sound healing artist, and psychiatrist-psychotherapist specializing in altered states of consciousness. He is trained in psychedelic therapy and uses his live music to guide medical sessions in Switzerland.
Together, they will guide you through inner landscapes sculpted by the harmonic vibration of gongs, drums, and ethereal sounds. Their approach is based on the science of neurological entrainment, using sound to defocus habitual awareness and enable an experience of trance. This is a unique opportunity to experience a sound journey curated by two experts in both consciousness and music.
ALPS 2025 is proud to host a one-of-a-kind Psychedelic Comedy Keynote with Dennis Walker, the multimedia producer, satirist, and creative force behind the renowned Mycopreneur platform. As the host of the Mycopreneur Podcast, Walker has interviewed over 200 mushroom entrepreneurs globally, and his work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Forbes, Wired, and Vice.
In this session, Dennis brings his unique perspective as "The Onion of the psychedelic space" to the main stage. At a time of intense global and community-wide debate, he champions the value of satire as a way to cut through the noise and address important issues without the vitriol. He argues that even within the most serious discussions about therapy, policy, and geopolitics, comedic relief is not just welcome but necessary for our mental health.
Attendees will be treated to a sharp, insightful, and hilarious exploration of the absurdities within our culture, our community, and ourselves. This keynote is a powerful reminder that laughter, levity, and wit are profoundly therapeutic and essential for building a resilient and open-minded psychedelic movement.
End the first conference day with an evening of authentic connection and community at our Psychedelic Storytelling session, facilitated by Carlotta Artuso. As an Event Coordinator for The Psychedelic Society and founder of her own PR and Events company, Carlotta has a deep passion for creating spaces where people can grow and connect. Believing firmly in the power of psychedelics to open new pathways of consciousness, she has designed this session to foster the integration of profound experiences through the simple, powerful act of sharing.
The event will unfold in three parts. We will begin with somatic connection exercises to ground ourselves in the present moment. Next, we will move into speed-friending rounds designed to move beyond small talk and spark genuine conversations. The evening will conclude with an open mic-style Psychedelic Storytelling circle. Attendees are invited to sign up and share a story—no longer than five minutes—about their journeys. There is no need to prepare; the best stories are often told off-the-cuff and from the heart. Come share, listen, and connect.
Prepare for a truly immersive journey into the heart of the fungal kingdom with the Fungalicious Bio-Sonification Experience. Building on a legacy that began with 1970s experiments into plant electrophysiology, this experience uses modern technology to reveal and explore the bioelectrical signals of fungi through live bio-sonification. While early research into the "secret life of plants" sparked public imagination, today’s high-precision instruments allow for a scientifically grounded yet deeply mystical exploration of the vegetal world.
Presented by the artists of Fungalicious Music, this session is a convergence of science, art, and mindfulness. You will listen to the real-time acoustic signature of living fungi—a shifting hum that changes in pitch, rhythm, and timbre, creating a dynamic duet between organism and audience. The experience is designed as a meditative practice, enhanced with guided mindfulness to help you connect deeply with the subtle, complex language of nature. This is a rare opportunity to move beyond conceptual understanding and form a direct, sensory relationship with the intelligence of fungi.
